A New Title from Wild Swan

It will come as no surprise to the long-suffering readers of this blog that Geoff Taylor is a modelmaker whom I respect and admire. While his work ticks all the relevant boxes such as accuracy, fidelity to prototype and craftsmanship, models from his bench also possess an uncanny quality of place and atmosphere. With the release of this book by Wild Swan, those of us who want to learn from the master only need to make a careful study of the pages of this book. It's not a chore either, as almost all the photos are in full colour and are sharply photographed. Enough to bring on  a bout of structure modelling, I reckon.

The book is available from all good booksellers and from Geoff direct at his web site, where there are more details.

Oh dear. I hadn't seen this. *reaches to bottom of pockets*.
Good to see you back.

Thanks, CF. It's only just published, don't think any of the mags have reviewed it yet.

It's good to have you back Iain.

Saw this book at Warley and left it on the Wild Swan stand - If you have as many other books on the subject and piles of MRJ's and other magazines then it's not as essential as purchase as some of the other books from the series - Rice's one on the Wills range covers a lot of similar ground for example. That said, it is very well produced and interesting. And I suspect I may well buy a copy anyway soon.
